Extended French

FSL subject plus at least one other subject taught in French. At least $\sim$25% of instruction in French.Accumulate seven credits in French (four language courses + three other subjects taught in French).

UAE French Curriculum

French is offered as a second/foreign language. There is no single unified national curriculum, so content varies greatly by international school (British, IB, French curricula). In international schools, French is often offered as an additional language option (e.g., French B or French Ab initio in the IB Diploma Programme).

France Language Support Programs

FLS (Français langue seconde), which builds general proficiency; FLSco (Français langue de scolarisation), which targets the specific academic language needed for school subjects; and UPE2A (Unité pédagogique pour élèves allophones arrivants), which offers intensive initial instruction to newly arrived students before they integrate into regular classes.
